5 Things Introverts Are Tired Of Hearing

5:00:00 AM

You're Too Quiet- Really because I feel just fine. Just because someone isn't talking your ear off 24/7 doesn't mean they're quiet. Introverts take time to process information that's given to them and think through what they're going to say. In our minds, it doesn't make sense to say something when there's no value being added. There's not a "one size fits all" way to communicate or learn, so try and be patient with your introverted friends/coworkers.

You Need to Get Out More- Have you seen the news...yea I'm good. The problem first tends be the way people bring up wanting to go out. It's typically mentioned a few hours before it's time to leave. Give me a solid two days to decide so I can think of an excuse to not go. In all seriousness, we expend energy when we go out where extroverts gain energy. Since we know we're going to be drained, we're picky about where we go. It has to be worth it.

You're antisocial- Chances are it's you. I know that was rough, but going back to my last point, we are picky about where and with who we expend our energy with. I can honestly spend hours with certain people and only 30 minutes with others. Also certain environments are better than others. Try going to a cute coffee shop or lounge if you want to invite your friend somewhere. Remember to give them a few days to think about itπŸ˜‰

You're Shy: Contrary to popular belief, shy and introverted are NOT synonyms. You can be both, but they have different meanings. Introverts enjoy being alone where shy people have a hard time interacting with others which may cause loneliness.

You Need to Come out of Your Shell: Believe it or not, not everyones desires to be the center of attention. A lot of introverts are perfectly happy with their lives and live a very full one. Don't put your expectations onto someone else.

You're boring: Everyone enjoys their free time differently. Introverts truly enjoy their alone time or casually exploring with a friend or two. Having fun looks different to different people which means loud music and crowded rooms may not be fun to everyone.

At the end of the day, try not to judge people and assume something is wrong with them because it's not your way of life.

Have a wonderful day!
